Our environmental assessments include support and guidance to care homes to ensure residents remain as independent as possible. The service includes identifying access and equipment needs in bathrooms, public areas and gardens.

At OT-Vation, we understand the importance of feeling good about yourself. Being able to independently wash and dress is crucial to feeling well, both physically and mentally.

OT-Vation will support you with all your bathing or showering needs, including accessing your bath/shower, managing fatigue and assisting with any minor adaptations required, including bath boards, bath lifts and grab rails.

OT-Vation aims to boost your confidence around the kitchen, providing you with new ways of completing tasks, making your environment safer and recommending equipment to support your independence. Kitchen assessments are also a useful tool to assess cognition, focusing on your ability to plan, initiate, sequence and execute tasks.

We assess indoor and outdoor mobility to reduce the risk of falls and provide you with the confidence needed to perform the tasks most important to you. This includes asessment of strength and balance, stair assessments, assessing for mobility aids such as zimmer frames or sticks, and support with accessing wheelchairs, stairlifts, ramps and rails. OT-Vation also will assess transfers in and out of cars to promote safe techniques.
